September Month Puzzle

Level 2

10 – 14 years old

Priya celebrated her 23rd birthday, at that time her mother was 50 years old. Priya made a strange observation that adding the digits on her birthday was same as her mother’s like

2+3 = 5 and 5 + 0 = 5

Now she tried if same observations holds true for his brother’s and mother’s age. Her brother’s age was 19 when her mother’s age was 50.

1 + 9 = 10; 1+0 = 1 and 5+0 = 5

Wow!!. This is special only between Priya and her mother’s age.

This age relationship between parent and child is quite common. What property must the parent’s age have on the day the child is born?

Can you share similar parent and child birthday which satisfies the Priya’s observation of having same number (when their birthday digits are added and summed up to 1 digit)?
